Choice

We claim that God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God. No doubt about this fact and there are numerous scriptures to back it up. This is not the focus of this article. The bible declares that God is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. God knows the end of a thing even right from the beginning. Jeremiah 29:11, declares; For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Which He had already predestined us and knows our ends right the beginning.  He knew us even before we are fertilized to become an embryo (Jeremiah 1:5; Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations). If God knows the beginning from the end, why would he plant the tree of the knowledge of good and evil when He knew that Adam is likely to fail to the test? Why would he even put Adam in the Garden of Eden in the first place? Have you ever asked yourself those questions? I have wondered and pondered on these questions over many times.

This is the reason why I am writing this article. God is a God of choice. He clearly gave Adam the instructions; of all fruits of the trees you can eat but the tree of the knowledge of evil and good, you shall not eat lest you die. This is clear-cut as a crystal. He gave Adam choice either to obey and honor Him or not. There are repercussions and rewards though for both obeying and disobeying God. Eat and you shall die, don’t eat and you shall live.

God doesn’t need our worship, our time or money. He gave us the choice to willingly acknowledge Him as God, the creator of the universe and worship and honor Him. You have the choice to either worship Him or not, the decision is yours. If He’d needed our praise and worship, He would have as a matter of fact created us like “Zombies” and we will have no choice than worship Him. Just like the Israelites in Deuteronomy 28. He gave us two choices, do this and you shall live, do otherwise and you shall die. There are rewards for everything. If you expect blessings for obeying, don’t you think there will be curses for disobeying Him? For disobeying God, He drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden. He cursed them all including the serpent- satan (Genesis 3:24-19). The good news is that He promised a seed of the woman would bruise the head of the serpent. Who then is the Seed of the woman to bruise the head of the serpent? That’s Jesus Christ, He defeated satan when He died on the Cross of Calvary.

Likewise, Jesus came into the world, die for the sins of mankind in order to redeem us to the Father. It is a free gift but you need to tap into it by believing on Him. You have the decision when you must have heard about Jesus Christ either to open your heart to Him or shut it. It’s a choice you have to make. You can choose to accept Him or not but remember there are rewards for everything. What a man sow, so shall he reap. What are the rewards for accepting Jesus Christ? John 14:6 say, I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the father except through me. So, what are the benefits for accepting Jesus Christ? Apart from making heaven where you will never die, where there is no longer sorrow, you will also live a victorious life on earth, you will have peace of mind, you will live a happy life, a life worth living. Well, I don’t need to tell you the other side of the story, we all aware of it. Heaven and Hell is real. You will not make heaven if you don’t accept Him as your Lord and personal savior and do His wills. You won’t enjoy peace. The bible declares in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. This is the peace that you wont even move an inch even if the whole world is coming down because the God is greater than anybody, anything. Therefore, the decision is yours; it is a choice you have to make. Life is full of choices. Choose wisely my brothers and sisters. God bless you as you read this!

Why was Jesus Christ Manifested?

According to the last part of Revelation 13:8 (and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world), Jesus Christ have been slain from the beginning of the world and it was only manifested two millennium years ago. He came that the word might be fulfilled through Him. Rather than using the blood of the doves, sheep for atonement of sin, He gave Himself up once and for all, to redeem us to the Father. On the Cross of Calvary, before He gave up His ghost, He said it is finished and the veil in the temple was torn. What does this mean? It means we now have direct access to God, we don’t need any medium or whatsoever to communicate to God. In the old testament, the priest go into the holies of holy once a year but now there is nothing withholding us from God. We can seek him anytime of the day and He will answer us because our God doesn’t sleep nor slumber.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday

What is the significance of Jesus? What of if Jesus had not resurrected from the grave? Does it matter to Christians when Jesus Christ resurrected because some will argue how can you fix three days and three nights between Good Friday and Easter Sunday? Does it matter when we celebrated Easter?

Easter was derived from Pasch (Pascha) meaning Passover and some claimed it to be from Eostre, a name for a kind of goddess. The first Passover as we will recall was celebrated in the Old Testament when God brought his people out of Egypt by force. They were asked to kill a ram, using the blood to make a sign on the door and when the angel of destruction see the blood, it will Passover the Israelites (It is recorded in Exodus 12) God said they should keep it as an ordinance until the end of time. Unknown to the Israelites, they were celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ! What’s the significance of this? The death of Jesus and afterwards His resurrection from the grave shows His victory over sin, death, grave and satan. Satan no longer has power and dominion over us because our Master Has already overcome. Therefore, the bible says, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33-KJV). The angel of death looked upon the blood on the doorposts and turned away. God as well will look upon the blood of Jesus and have compassion on us, forgives us if we have for forgiveness and give us anything we ask through the name of Jesus because we are the ones that His precious son died for.

Easter is the basis of Christianity. Assuming Jesus Christ has not risen from the grave, His death would have amounted to nothing. We would have become like other religions. Christianity is a religion but we are Christ-Like, living our lives as Christ lived. He has given us new hope and new life. Everything has changed.

Most Christians celebrate Easter using the March 21 (equinox, if am right) as the base line, Eastern Orthodox uses the Julian calendar and Jewish continues to follow the Passover calendar. It doesn’t matter the calendar we follow, the most important thing is that Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary and 3 days He resurrected.
